Great post, Mohib!

And no, I am not 100% in control of my digital life, but I am sure I am not the easiest target out there.

You just have be make it harder for attackers — that’s the right mindset.

“Most people think they’re safe - they install antivirus software, avoid sketchy sites, keep their systems updated, and assume that’s enough.”

How true this is! Great writing thanks.

All thoughts of security, safety and privacy were lost in my household when my then PC provider 'uploaded [my book] and everything else into the cloud' and it all simply vanished...

By using my own 'backup system' most of it was slowly and painfully reclaimed. Then the book was drastically altered and later self-published.

When you leave your doorway your face and hands are on some cybersecurity or another. We lost all sense of our privacy when Jobs, etc, 'offered' us computers and their systems...

Yeah, that's how basically the current AI got built lol. Off of lots of stolen work, and till the litigation catches up, they will have enough money to prove it by saying 'oh but the theft was worth the utility it provided to billions', all at what cost?

With each passing day, convenience is killing fundamental rights to privacy of everyone. And hence we need to talk about this time to time.

Yes, today crime and theft are treated as a joke. Criminals who have dubiously acquired much wealth are lauded.

From my earliest memories history has always fascinated me. Accounts of those who battled all from themselves, families and the outside world. These sufferings taught me about the world, even before I learnt about the battles between capital and labour in Year 10! Then, I realised that capital is run by 'smooth operators' and they would never give you ice in winter.

AI is just another way of 'stealing' and then using other peoples' ideas to try to force their world in that way. However, these 'owners' will also learn too late that there is no forever on this earth for them. Nor are there pockets in shrouds...

All this reminds me of the whole artist community - how their work is being stolen...etc

Yes, but as you already have shown us there are also very good people in this world.
